{ Next Steps }
If you would like to explore the StoryMo package further, familiarize yourself with the information on this page and then take the next two steps.
- Read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) to familiarize yourself with our standard operating practices.
- Fill out our Discovery Information Form and send it to us for a free no obligation consultation. The form asks you to tell us what questions we can ask to reveal the content of your video and the scenarios we should videotape to enhance your message.
Consultation and Purchase
After we receive your discovery information, we will arrange a no-obligation consultation to discuss our custom approach for your StoryMo video. If you like our proposal and want to go forward, we will be pleased to schedule the work for your StoryMo package when we have recieved notification of payment.
A Typical StoryMo Experience
We arrive and setup at the location where your story will be told. We interview you for twenty minutes. Then we’ll spend up to three hours shooting video of your work environment, something we call b-roll. We will film you working and interacting with customers in up to four different scenarios using the tools of your trade.
Then we take these materials back to our offices and spend up to six hours editing them with appropriate music into a very professional video that tells your story. Your finished video will be posted on the internet in a format that you can embed on your website. We’ll also give you a disk with a copy of your video.
How to Prepare for Your StoryMo Experience
This is a list of the basic items you must provide for the shoot. There may be additional items identified during the consultation.
- For each of the four different scenarios (activities) identified in your discovery information and confirmed in your consultation, make all necessary arrangements so that these four situations are readily available during the scheduled hours of our video shoot.
- You will need to provide a quiet, fifteen foot square space (minimum) for on-camera interviews. Audio only interviews can be conducted in a quiet office.
- Clean up all areas where we will be filming.
- Make arrangements with the people or customers that you’d like to include in the video. For instance, if you run a yoga studio, it would be great to have a few students on hand so we can film a class demonstration. Also, you are responsible for collecting a talent release from everyone who appears in your video. You are welcome to use our StoryMo release form for this purpose.
- Please gather appropriate props and/or the tools of your trade.
Dress Code
These guidelines apply to everyone who will be videotaped.
- Wear clothing appropriate to the environment you work in and the image you would like to project
- Avoid bright reds and solid whites
- Bring additional clothing options the day of the shoot
The Interview
Your interview questions should reveal the following.
- Who you are
- What you are offering
- Where your business is (if relevant)
- When you are available
- Why you are in business
- What makes you special (why your customers should care)
